The world of sailing drones is growing. DNV-GL, a norvegian company has just presented the project of a cargo-ship of the future, with no crew, the ReVolt.

The ReVolt has for characteristics a LOA of 60 meters, 14,50 meters wide, and she is 13 meters high. This cargo-ship can transport 100 containers. Her energy comes from two electric motors (3000 kWh) and is said to have a 100 nm autonomy.

“Building and operating this vessel would be possible with today’s technology. ‘ReVolt’ is intended to serve as inspiration for equipment makers, ship yards and ship owners to develop new solutions on the path to a safe and sustainable future”, says Hans Anton Tvete, Senior Researcher at DNV GL.
